Really?? Six months? Really?
Follow the link in the title (or here) to be taken to the Kickstarter page for the project. You can view a two-minute preview of the film and read more about it. It’s an important work that needs support in order to happen.
The filmmaker, Joshua Sweeny, describes it better than I can:
Same Difference is a documentary film about several adolescents from varying ethnicities who experience same gendered attraction or an alternative gender identity.
The film offers LGBT teens a positive visual representation of their peers, giving them the confidence and reassurance that they are not alone. This film features several children who are under the age of sixteen and self identify as LGBT.
If one person sees the film (or even becomes aware of the film), and feels less isolated/alone/desperate/”broken” because of it, how much would that be worth?
Not just the voice (or the looks 🙂 ), but for the creativity and time that has to go into something like this.
